Hiragana
is the Japanese writing symbol which represents the basic sounds of Japanese.
In other words, the phonetical 'alphabet'.
Hiragana was originally developed from an ancient Japanese writing system
that represented the pronunciation for Chinese characters. Nowdays, Hiragana
is generally used for words that have no corresponding Kanji symbols, or
it is used as grammatical particles and suffixes. That is to say Hiragana
is often used along with Kanji symbols in everyday Japanese writing.
You'll notice that the appearance of a Hiragana symbol is more roundish
than Kanji or Katakana. Generally speaking, Hiragana symbols have simpler
strokes than most Kanji symbols.
You can have your favorite word(s) or phrase(s) translated in Japanese Hiragana.
Traditionally, Japanese writing is from top to bottom in vertically. But
in the modern Japanese writing system, horizontal writing, left to right,
is also common. You will receive BOTH vertical and horizontal versions of
Hiragana symbols at no extra cost. Click
